Shirt Details and Logistics:

These shirts will be printed on Bella + Canvas blanks (you can find sell sheets at the bottom of the page). They will be printed at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, CA as part of the Training for Transition class that operates the on-site business. They will be mailed out using USPS. Please email mccune@principledbydesign.org with any questions.

Artist Profile:

Andy Beswick is a tattoo artist currently working out of Monolith Tattoo in Bend, Oregon. He was the founder and original owner of Good Luck Tattoo in Santa Cruz, CA and worked at Idle Hand in San Francisco, CA prior to that. He is originally from the East Coast. He is one of the genuinely nicest people. I am most impressed with Andy’s ability to maintain a positive outlook through any adversity he faces all while raising 4 daughters. You can follow Andy on Instagram at @andybeswick

NEVER FORGET the lessons you learn.

The Motivation:

The idea behind this t-shirt series is to promote the characteristics that help build a solid community and provide a core set of skills for our students going out into the world. Work ethic is something that our Training for Transitions class has been developed to keep as a central premise. This Thomas Jefferson quote is highlighting the idea of hard work leading to the “luck” necessary to succeed. This mindset is a driving factor to success in adulthood, and a major premise in the foundation of the American Dream that our country was founded upon and grew into a world power behind. Hard work leaves to “luck” which we translate to opportunity.
